Meditation can be done anywhere and anytime. All you need is a place to sit where you can be undisturbed. A blanket over your legs can be comforting. Placing a shawl, or blanket around your shoulders can also be a part of your attire for your meditations. Wear loose, comfortable clothing making sure there is no tightness at your waist, hips, or chest. Switch off your phone.
It is OK to take time out for yourself. We are no better off dealing with the world if we don't take time for ourselves. Take this time out for you. You will see the benefits are numerous and bountiful.
You can sit in a chair, you can sit on the floor, you can sit in a bus seat, you can sit on a pillow. What ever and where you are comfortable.
Allow your hands to rest on your legs or you lap. Your hands can face up or face down. The finger tips can touch or they can be free floating. Simply find a position that is comfortable and gives you a feeling of strength and vitality.
A more stimulating hand position is bringing the thumbs and index fingers to lightly touch which connects the bodies' energy channels.
You can do meditations lying down, however, it is best to do this only after rigorous exercise otherwise you might fall asleep. The benefits will not be as strong.
Whatever you do and however you do it, make sure it makes you happy.
